2 Aug 2006 - Kay (Westenhouser) Hanna's husband,  Gerald L. Hanna, 67, of Baltimore, passed away Tuesday, August 6 2006,  at Fairfield Medical Center.  Gerald graduated with the LHS Class of 1958.  Our condolences go to Kay and her family.

12 Jun 2006 - Pat Keller's husband,  Teddy D. Crozier, 66, of Rushville, passed away Monday, June 12, 2006, in the Palliative Care Unit at Fairfield Medical Center following a courageous battle with cancer. Our condolences go to Pat and her family.

30 Mar 2006 - Karl David Moore, 64, of Lancaster, died March 28, 2006, at Berger Healthcare in Circleville.  Our condolences go to Sally and his family.

 23 Mar 2006 - William "Bud" Prevost, 63, of Columbus, Ohio, died Wednesday, March 15, 2006, at his residence. Our condolences go to Marie and his family.

6 Jan 2005 - Thomas Earl Rutter, 63, of LaGrange, died Monday, Jan. 2, 2006, at the Cleveland Clinic following a long illness. Our condolences go to Virginia and his family.

15 Dec 2005  - Our classmate Bud Prevost has several inoperable brain tumors and is currently in a nursing home.  Cards can be sent to him at:  1538 Manor Drive, Columbus, OH  43232.  Special thanks to Jackie Mohler Warner for providing this update.

20 Oct 2005  - Jackie Mohler Warner forwarded updates on some of our classmates.  Theresa Vanderhoven Mitchell was listed as missing and Linda Drum was listed as deceased.  Jackie located both of these classmates for us.  She also reported contact with Don and Donna Cox, Ron Lutz, and Bill Fairchild.   Don Cox was in our class and is having medical problems.  Ron works at Carnival Foods.  Bill had heart surgery a month ago and is doing pretty well.  All went to East School together.

18 Oct 2005  - Donna Walton would appreciate a copy of pictures taken during the reunion for the memorabilia boards.  "Hi Carol and Chet, What a wonderful array of photos on the website!!  Would you kindly remind those who took pictures on Fri. and Sat. that I would like to have copied for the memorabilia boards?  Thanks so much again for all you do.  It was wonderful to see you again.  Donna"

2 Oct 2005  - Jim Markwood is recovering from emergency aortic aneurism surgery.  Please say a prayer for Jim and Eileen.  Eileen Markwood Writes:  "Dear Carol, It may not be possible for Jim and I to attend the reunion on Oct 15th.  Jim has had emergency aortic aneurism surgery.  He is doing fine, but at this time I do not have a time frame for his recovery.  He is doing OK, but we still have another 24 hours to say things are going really well.  Eileen Markwood"

5 Sep 2005  - Ruth Ann Nutter RobitzerRuth A. Robitzer, 63, of Lancaster, passed away Sunday, Sept. 4, 2005, at the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital, Columbus.  Thanks to Kathy Keiser Conrad for providing this sad news.

1 Aug 2005  - Joann (Wright) Parrish reports that the following classmates have returned their reservations for the reunion so far: Heath Harner, Gary Burnside, John Garber, Tom and Joann Parrish, Sharon (Dittoe) Pagano, Becky (Davis) Tipple, Stan Miller, Tom and Carolyn (Ray) Aucreman, Pug and Sue (Parsons) Johnson, Chet and Carol (Carroll) Karwowski, Ed Hart and Anne (Hart) Kiphen, Marilyn (Geiger) Clark and Bonnie (Starowesky) Reed.  Several others have indicated they plan to attend in their e-mails.  The reunion committee plans to send out post card reminders.  Please get your reservations in to Joann (Wright) Parrish.

10 Jul 2005 - Thomas Jackson Sheppard, of Lancaster, died Sunday, July 10, 2005, at his residence.  He was a self-employed contractor.  He is survived by son, Brent (Lori) Sheppard of Lancaster; daughter, Rebecca Owen of Amanda; daughter-in-law, Debbie Sheppard; grandchildren, Alicia, Wesley, Emilia, Tucker, Jackson, JoAnn and Joshua; brothers, William C. Sheppard of South Carolina, John Sheppard of West Virginia, Charles Sheppard of Virginia and Jim Sheppard of Canada; and sisters, Ethel Woyan, of Rockbridge and Margaret Ann Sprinkles of Florida.  Tom was preceded in death by his son, Blaine Sheppard; parents, Thomas and Margaret Miller Sheppard; sister, Dorothy Jean Bell; and brother, Edward B. Sheppard.   Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Sheridan Funeral Home.  Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2005, at Sheridan Funeral Home, with Deacon Paul Deshaies officiating. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.  Memorials can be made in Tom's memory to Brent Sheppard for a college fund for the grandchildren.

9 Jul 2005 - John Echols requested a list of class members who served in Viet Nam.  If you have such a list or have served in Viet Nam or any branch of the services, we would like to hear from you.  We will start to compose a list but would appreciate knowing when and where you served along with any other information you would like to share with your classmates.

4 Mar 2005 - Carol Carroll Karwowski underwent successful coronary bypass surgery 4 Mar 2005 and wishes to thank everyone for their generous notes, prayers, and happy thoughts. 

9 Jan 2005 - Stephen K. Warthman, 62, of Sugar Grove, passed away Sunday, Jan. 9, 2005, at Ohio State University Medical Center. Born June 11, 1942, he was the son of the late Willis K and Lillian Nihiser Warthman, and the owner of Warthman Drilling Inc. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Lane Warthman; sons, Chad (Cindy) Warthman, Trent Warthman and Vic Warthman, all of Sugar Grove; grandchildren, Tristin and Trevor Warthman.

3 Jul 2004 - Larry S. Cattran, 62, of Carroll, passed peacefully from this world into the loving arms of his personal Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, July 3, 2004, at his residence. He retired from Diamond Power Specialty Co. after 32 years as a a buyer and currently worked with his sons at Local Waste Services. He was a member of the Gloryland Church of the Nazarene where he was a Sunday school teacher, a board member and headed the Men's Ministry.

27 May 2004 - Roger W. Blosser, 62, of Lancaster, went home to be with his Lord Thursday, May 27, 2004, from his residence after a struggle with cancer. He was a retired employee of Lucent, and a member of Fairfield Christian Church, where he served as a deacon. He was survived by his wife, Linda L. Blosser; son, Jeff (Pam) Blosser of Milford; daughters, Suzy (Trent) Thorson of Jersey, Ohio, and Amy (Adam) Long of Bexley; stepdaughters, Tina (Marc) Phillips of Lancaster, and Tracy.
