John Rich Valentine John Rich Valentine, 67, of Lancaster, passed away Thursday, Oct. 04, 2007, in his residence. He was born on Dec. 3, 1939, in Lancaster, a son of the late Harold Richard Valentine and Georgia (Prevost) Lynn. He retired from Diamond Power and was a member of the American Legion Post 11 and the Diamond Bowling League. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Lucy Jean (Haynes) Valentine of Lancaster; sons, Jerry Alan (Tera) Valentine of Lancaster and Jason Scott (Tiffany) Valentine of Chillicothe; daughter, Selena Kaye (Jeff) Valentine Abbott of Logan; brother, Ernest (Faye) Bowshier of Venice, Fla. and grandchildren, Bradley, Caleb, Hannah, JT, Christian, Tori, Kaydence, Savana, Desiree and Jeffrey Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Sherry Platt. Graveside Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Stukey Cemetery, 5815 Sugar Grove Road with Capt. Pat Ward officiating. Military Honors provided by the Lancaster Burial Detail. The family is being served by the Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Salvation Army, 228 W. Hubert St., Lancaster, OH 43130 in his memory.
