LANCASTER:
Pastor Robert E. Rauch, age 67, of Lancaster passed away Friday, May 1,
2009 at his home with his loved ones by his side. He fought a short
battle with cancer.Robert was born December 17, 1941 to the
late Rose Rauch and John Rauch.
Robert was a loving husband, great father and friend. He was loved
by many and had a positive affect on the lives of many people. He worked
at Anchor Hocking for 15 years. He liked playing softball and riding his
Goldwing. He loved music and sang bass in several men's quartets
including the River Valley Boys. He also enjoyed spending time with
family, friends and his dog, Bonnie. He always helped those in need and
he and his good friend, Art, called themselves ABC (Art & Bob Charity).
He started the original Fairfield Christian Academy and along with the
help of his brother, Jim, he started WFCO radio station. He was a pastor
for 36 years (Church of God, Christ Church and Laurelville Church of
God).
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Suzanne; two
sons, Steve (Stacy) and Mark (Melissa) Rauch; two daughters, Cindy
(Lowell) Clark and Nancy (David) Hubbard; three brothers, Tom, Jim
(Janice) and Dan Rauch; three sisters, Jane (Marv) Lavere, Rosie (Dave)
Kern and Betty Lou (Bob) Oatney; twelve grandchildren; and many nieces
and nephews. You will be sadly missed by many but we will see you again
in Heaven. We love you Bob.
Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Faith Memorial
Church. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Faith
Memorial with Pastor Steve Rauch officiating. Burial will follow at
Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pleasant Chapel
Church of God, 3225 Old Mill Rd., N.E., Lancaster, OH 43130.
