Robitzer, 63, of Lancaster, passed away Sunday, Sept. 4, 2005, at the Arthur
G. James Cancer Hospital, Columbus.
She was born on Dec. 17, 1941, in Lancaster to Floyd
and Betty J. Hanna Baird. Ruth was a salesperson for Sears for 25 years. She
was a member of St. Mark Church, Lancaster, and she enjoyed traveling and
especially shopping.
Ruth is survived by her daughter, Catherine M.
(Richard) Dardis of Carroll; son, John M. (Holly A.) Robitzer of Lancaster;
grandson, Austin M. Robitzer of Lancaster; father and mother, Floyd and
Betty Baird of Lancaster; brother, Floyd "Stretch" (Marlene) Baird of
Lancaster; sister, Mary J. Rhoades of Lancaster; brother and sister-in-laws,
Richard and Phyllis Robitzer of Carroll, Nick and Ellen Shaw of Amanda, and
David and Loretta Leohner of Rockbridge; special cousins, Charles and Ellen
Steinmetz of Lancaster; and several aunts and uncle, nieces and nephews.
Her husband, John M. "Jack" Robitzer, preceded her in
death.
Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30
a.m. Thursday at St. Mark Church, Lancaster, with internment to follow in
St. Mary Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Wednesday at Sheridan Funeral Home, Lancaster. A vigil service will be
conducted at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given
to the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital, Columbus, or the donor's choice.
Ruth's family would like to give a special thank you to all her caring
friends that have supported her and her family through everything.
