Mary Kay (McFee) Ward
Columbus, OH
4 Oct 1942 - 25 Mar 2007

Mary Kay "Sam" Ward, 64, of Columbus, Ohio, left this side of the world peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer, Sunday, March 25, 2007. Born and raised in Lancaster, OH, to Jim and Helen McFee. Beloved wife of Richard T. Ward; sister and best friend of Molly Mott; mother of Tim (Beth) Hammer, Susan (Kevin) Doherty, Karen (Ron) Cameron, Molly (David) Tanner; grandmother of Tyler, Joey and Meghan Doherty, Allyson, Jacob and Katy Tanner, Alex and Abby Cameron, Tommy and Nicholas Hammer; aunt of Michael (Jessie) Mott; and great-aunt of Max and Lainey Mott. Preceded in death by her parents, and nephew Peter Mott. Also survived by special grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Kristin (Jeff) and Simon Dollinger, Rick (Emma), Stella and Nina Chambers, and Jennifer Chambers. Her love of family, friends, travel, and the arts was the focus of her life, but she would say that her greatest accomplishment was her family. Everyone who knew her, knew of her creative and adventurous spirit, strength of character, and love of life that was contagious. Her doors were always open, with a gift of hospitality that could not be measured. Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 14, at Liberty Presbyterian Church, 7080 Olentangy River Rd., Delaware.
