A second Lancaster man, Ray Wolshire, 32 of 223 Lynwood Lane, who was a passenger in the Corn vehicle, is still listed in “good” condition at Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine.  Bellefontaine Post State Highway stated a car traveling east on U.S. 33 at a high rate of speed attempted to pass a semi-truck and crashed head-on into a pick-up truck in which Corn and Wolshire were riding.  The three occupants of the auto were Donald L. Coglan, 33, Robert W. Collins, 21, and Robert D. Garrard 21, all of London, O. All three men were killed.
Corn was an operation engineer at Hocking Valley Steel Erectors Co., Columbus. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 1016.
He is survived by his wife, Janice (Susie); two sons, Christopher and C. Nicholas, both of the home; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Donald V. Corn, Lancaster; brother, Darrell, Winter Park, Fla. and sister, Mrs. Bill Sampson, Lancaster.

Triple Fatality Seriously Hurts Two Local Men

Two Lancaster men are in serious condition after being involved in a pre-dawn automobile crash Wednesday that killed three.
The Ohio Highway Patrol post in Bellefontaine reported that at 5:30 a.m. three London men were traveling east on U.S. 33 at a high rate of speed in an auto.
Hits Pickup
Attempting to pass a semi truck, the car was blocked by a vehicle coming in the opposite direction.  Swerving back to the right lane, the car apparently went out of control and crashed head-on into a pick-up truck traveling westbound.
All three occupants of the car were killed.  They have been identified as Donald L. Coglan, 32; Robert W. Collins, 21, and Robert D. Garrard, 21, all of London, Ohio.
Both occupants of the pick-up truck were seriously injured.  They are Carl R. Corn, 30, of Rt.1 Coonpath Rd. and Ray Wolshire, 32, of 223 Lynnwood, Lancaster.  Following the crash the two men were rushed to Mary Rulan Hospital, Bellefontaine.
