George Allen Bowers

       George A. Bowers, 46, of Lancaster, died Sunday at Lancaster-Fairfield Community Hospital.
     A barber for 25 years, he was the owner of George’s Lookin’ Trim barber shop.  He was a member of Tarhe Lions Club and sponsored George’s Lookin’ Trim bowling team at Starlite Lanes in Baltimore.
     He is survived by his wife, Louise; two daughters and son-in-law, Cindy and Phil Weaver, of Reynoldsburg, Cheri Bowers, of Lancaster; brother and sister-in-law, Chilton and Lois Bowers, of Lancaster; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Gene Gillespie, of  Lancaster; three brothers-in-law, Fred Hulkenberg, of Westerville, Richard Hulkenberg, of Baltimore, Md., Francis Hulkenberg of Ft. Worth, Texas; several nieces and nephews.
     His parents, Dillard and Effie Bowers, died previously.
     Funeral service tentatively has been scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Frank E. Smith Funeral Home with Rev. F. Raymond Sharritts officiating.  Interment will be in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
     Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
