Delbert J. “Jim” Boggs Sr.,
60, Tampa, Fla., formerly of Lancaster, died Friday July 27, 2001, in Tampa.
He was the past
governor of Lancaster Moose and a member of Lancaster Eagles. He worked as
a machinist in the Machine shop of Essex Wire Company.
He is survived by his
mother, Dorothy Runkle of Lancaster; son Jim (Sheila) Boggs of Lancaster;
daughters, Stephanie (Dana) Dobson of Arizona and Betsy Elkena and fiancé
Robert Thompson of Lancaster; grandchildren, Brent, Justin, and Kenall
Boggs, Branda Jones, Devan and Kendall Elkins; Longtime companion Sherrie
Anderson of Tampa; former wife Arlene Boggs of Lancaster, and several aunts.
He was preceded in death
by his father, Delbert J. Boggs.
Services will take place
at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sheridan Funeral Home, Lancaster, with Pastor Mark
Barbee officiating. Burial will be at Forest Rose Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 2
to 4 p.m.. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
